Plans and Measurements

The units of competency covered in this course are:

RIICCM201E Carry out Measurements and Calculations
RIICCM203E Read and Interpret Plans and Specifications

At the successful completion of this course you will be able to:

Identify different types of drawings and their functions
Recognise when drawings and specifications have been amended
Recognise commonly used symbols and abbreviations
Locate and identify key features on a site plan
Read and interpret job specifications
Plan and prepare to carry out measurements and calculations
Perform a range of measurements
Perform a range of calculations
Estimate approximate quantities of materials required and confirm them with calculations.

Course Outcome	On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a statement of attainment for RIICCM201D Carry out Measurements and Calculations and RIICCM203E Read and Interpret Plans and Specifications
